István Riesz, Chairman of the Board of Trustees at Hungarian Ayurveda Medical Foundation spent 3 days in India between 24-24th September 2015. with the financial support of the Government of India and Pharmexcil. He had successful meetings with more than 70 companies about the distribution of Ayurveda, Unani and Siddha products in Europe and in Hungary.

Join the workshop, add your valuable point of views, help strenghtening the status of ayurvedic products on the EU-market
In the organization of the Embassy of India of Budapest, the European Ayurveda Association (EUAA) and AYUSH, an International Ayurveda Workshop will be held in Budapest on the 19th-20th of March 2010.
The main topic of the workshop will be the Traditional Herbal Medicine EU-Directive, which - if comes into force in March 2011 without any alteration to the same - will place a great impediment in the way of ayurvedic (and all herbal) medicines to be marketed in the European Union, and deprive people of their right to obtain easily effective and safe herbal medicines over the counter, and make exporters very difficult to licence products new to the EU market.
The aim of the workshop is to bring EU and Indian experts of the topic together to create an action plan in order to achieve alterations to the same regulation.
The organizers are expecting the attendance of ayurveda organizations from 27 EU-countries (and from all ACCE member countries, see: http://www.ayurveda.hu/eu.html
We would like to hereby kindly invite all European Ayurveda institutes, companies and experts to join this important meeting, or otherwise the follow-up meeting, which is to be held in New Delhi at the beginning of May 2010.

5/2009, 20/05/2009.Chairman of HAMF was granted the "For the Naturapathy" award
Mr. Istvan Riesz Dr.(Ayu)Hon., Chairman of the Hungarian Ayurveda Medical Foundation PUO was granted this years "For the Naturapathy" award by the Hungarian Association of Naturapathists, in the frame of their XVII. Congress and Trade Fair (16th of may 2009), as the acknowledgement of his dedicated work of two decades done in order to introduce the ancient Indian medical system of Ayurveda to Hungary.
This award is granted every year to experts reaching important successes in some of the fields of naturapathy. Mr. Riesz was granted the award for "introducing Ayurveda into Hungary, for setting up the Hungarian Ayurveda Medical Foundation PUO and its Ayurveda Library".
We hereby thank you again for the award on behalf of the whole Foundation, and congratulate for other awarded experts as well!

Mr. Ranjit Rae, Ambassador of India to Budapest On the 3rd of March 2009 the Board of Trustees of the Hungarian Ayurveda Medical Foundation has granted a Certificate of Appreciation to H.E. Mr. Ranjit Rae, Ambassador of India, as a symbol of their appreciation and gratefullness for the Ambassador's imperishable merits in supporting the introduction of Ayurveda to Hungary, which brought many new supporters to the ancient Indian medical system.
At the celebration held at the Ayurveda Library of the Foundation participated many of the greatest supporters of the medical system of Ayurveda in Hungary, representing different fields of work and different institutions.

5/2008., 17/07/2008A delegation of three ayurveda experts - leaded by Dr. Surinder Katoch, ayurveda doctor, delegated by Indian Ministry of Health (AYUSH) - was teaching ayurvedic techniques to experts of different Hungarian wellness hotels and beauty centers, between the 27of May - 11th of July 2008. 4/2008., 27/05/2008Wellness experts arriving from IndiaOn the request of the Hungarian Ayurveda Medical Foundation (HAMF) the Indian Ministry of Health (AYUSH) has delegated three ayurveda experts to Hungary (arriving on the 27th of May), in order to give professional training to Hungarian wellness companies offering ayurvedic treatments.
During their 6-weeks staying the members of the delegation – Dr. Surinder Katoch ayurveda doctor and two masseur-specialists – are teaching the basics of ayurvedic medicine, lifestyle and massage in different towns of Hungary (including Hévíz, Budapest, Siófok, Sopron), spending one week with each company, according to the programme pre-planned together with the Hungarian Wellness Association.
Due to great interest from the Hungarian side, the Indian Government is planning to extend the staying of the delegation, which enables further wellness companies (hotels, spas) to join the programme.

The European Ayurveda Association invites all ayurveda community members working in Europe to participate it's First Forum to be held in Vienna on the 21st-22nd June 2008.The ayurvedic community of Europe is facing many difficult challenges presently. The aim of the forum is to help clearly identify the key issues, formulate policies and activate responses, in order to help the ayurvedic community in its struggle for recognition, its defence of the pharmacopoeia, the creation of high standards of education, responses to the press and promotion of Ayurveda on a European/Global level.We would like all European ayurveda community members to be involved in supporting our slogan 'One Voice for Europe' uniting all ayurvedists and supporters of Ayurveda under a single umbrella.

The Indo-Hungarian Health Agreement has been signed again for 5 years (for the period between 2007-2012) in New Delhi, on the 18th of January 2008. The Agreement has layed down the foundations of an all-time-intensive and deep cooperation frame between India and Hungary in the field of health-care. Cooperation in the field of the science of Ayurveda has been given a special emphasis.
