The Ayurveda Trade Promotion Center (ATPC)
for Ayurveda Product Exporter Companies of India
to promote Ayurveda in Central-Europe
Funded and run by the Hungarian Ayurveda Medical Foundation PUO
Budapest, Hungary, since 1996
Ayurveda, the ancient medical and cultural heritage of India, has been introduced to Hungary and gradually to the wider Central-European area by Garuda Trade Ltd. (since 1991) and the Hungarian Ayurveda Medical Foundation PUO (HAMF, since 1996) on the basis of a 30-years Programme which embraces the period of 1990-2020. The introduction and dissemination of ayurvedic knowledge and products in this part of the world involved a huge financial investment, as Ayurveda at that time was almost unknown in Central-Europe. Since that time Garuda Trade and HAMF has invested hundreds of thousands of GBP in the propagation of ayurvedic theory and practice, according to their belief about Ayurveda being one of the most effective and medical and lifestyle approach in the world. Thanks to our committed work Garuda and HAMF are the two organizations approved as the pioneers of introducing Ayurveda into Hungary and Central-Europe.
Due to difficult economic situatiuon recently formed in Europe, and to the growing competition in the sector of herbal food-supplements, paramedicines and natural cosmetics, presently it would be a high need for the ayurvedic community of India to put their forces together in order to provide a more effective support for the dissemination of ayurvedic theory, practice and products in the Central-European area.
The Hungarian Ayurveda Medical Foundation has funded the
Ayurveda Trade Promotion Center (ATPC)
in order to fulfill the following common goals of Indian and European ayurvedic community:
- Help Indian ayurveda product manufacturers to find suitable business partners in Europe (ACCE-database) in the most cost- and time-effective way.
- Help manufacturers to put their products to the Hungarian and wider European market through licencing and marketing of ayurvedic products of high quality.
- Support the dissemination of authentic ayurvedic knowledge (organization of trade and scientific conferences, seminars, courses, common research projects, reviewing of list of ayurvedic herbs accepted in the EU, etc).
